Tatooine

[Drake Firestar]

Tatooine (pronounced /tætu'in/) was a desert world and the first in a binary star star system that had three moons and was in the Arkanis sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by poor locals who mostly farmed moisture for a living. Other activities included used equipment retailing and scrap dealing. The planet was on the 5709-DC Shipping Lane, a spur of the Triellus Trade Route, which itself connected to the Sisar Run. The planet was not far from the Corellian Run. It had its own navigation system. However, it would still play a role in galactic events, serving as the home of Anakin Skywalker. It was here that Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn recognized Anakin's potential to become a Jedi and where he introduced him to Obi-Wan Kenobi, his future master and mentor. Tatooine was also the home of Anakin's son, Luke, where he lived until his early adulthood. The planet built up a very bad reputation, often being viewed as the cesspool of the galaxy due to the high-level of criminals who could be found onworld.

*The Dragon Claw Quickly flies over the dunes out in the Dune Sea as it headed out to a small camp that Drake's good friend Allen had set up. For years now Allen had been in charge of keeping the Tuskens away from the settlements though he normally spent his time close to Mos Eisley since it was the closest one to the Jundland Wastes. After a while of flying Raven lands the ship and lets down the landing ramp which Drake quickly walks down and heads into the camp.

Allen was talking with a few other soldiers who were part of his group but of course Drake didn't care as he walked right up to the man grabbed him by the shoulder and dragged him away from them. Once they were a good few meters away Drake let of Allen and turned to speak to him.*

You are damn lucky we are friends or I would be killing you right now.

*Allen just sighed as that always meant something had gone bad up in one of the cities and so now Drake was blaming him for it.*

=Allen=
Alright what happened this time?

I just fought off some Imperial commandos who were attacking Mos Eisley and now I has a bone to pick with you since were are you stupid security people when you need them?

*At hearing Imperial commandos Drake had finally gotten Allen's full attention as why would they be coming all the way out here.*

=Allen=
Why would commandos come out here and you know we are usually out here trying to keep the Tuskens away. *For a moment Allen began to think as he probably should do something about this. He then signaled for one of his men to come over to him.* Send a message out to the other cities to be on the look out for Imperial commandos and have some of our men watch the spaceports. *Allen then turned back to Drake hoping this at least made the damn man happy.* There now you have nothing to worry about and just to make things better I will personally go and investigate what has happened at Mos Eisley.

*With a satisfied look on his face Drake nodded and headed back to his ship as it was now time to kick back and relax. So once he had gotten back onto the ship he sat back in the co-pilot's chair and signaled for raven to take off.*

Alright lets head back to the hideout.

=Raven=
You mean your scrap yard?

Hey now I prefer to call it the hideout.

=Raven=
Its not much of one when it is standing in plain sight for everyone to see not to mention everyone knows where you live.

*Drake just rolled his eyes and waved his hand indicating that he was done with this conversation.* Just get going already.

*Raven rolls her eyes and then begins to pilot the ship back to Drake's little home on Tatooine.*

*The four shuttles enter orbit and head down to the planet below. The forty commandos would blend in with the locals, watch and wait for the orders to strike. The Empire would soon have inside dark hands controlling everything in the galaxy.*

One small transport bearing the mark of a merchant drops out of hyperspace. Secretly on board there was a group of 35 commandos preparing themselves for an intell-gathering mission.

They begin to camouflage their armor to make it look like they have been in the desert for weeks on end. Their cover story involved a few key aspects that would be acceptable on this planet. They were to act like mercenaries hired by an outside Crime Boss to try to trim the tide of the Tuskens.

So to make their story believable they covered their armor in mud and burnt it in some places. They would definitely fit the part.

After getting everything prepared the Commandos make their way to the open terrain of Tatooine where they will be dropped and left until the call for evac.

*Somewhere out in Tatooine Drake was sitting out at what he called his hideout but as raven constantly bugged him about it was sticking out for everyone to see. It was mostly just a big building because t was several levels high and even went underground. Though there was a large fenced in area where he always landed his ship and kept a lot of junk lying around which was why Raven called it a scrap yard.

Though right now Drake was doing one of his favorite pass times which was to listen in on what everyone was doing around the planet. He had Raven make his little communications room able to hack into just about everything communication wise. So personal messages people and sent and even messages sent from ships near by he could hear and that was how he knew were to go to start a fight. Unfortunately for him today was not going to turn out to be a good day as there was an unexpected guest roaming around.*

*Under the cover of his stealth field generator Ghost was sneaking around and he had a special target in mind at the moment. Drake's ship the Dragon Claw one of the best equipped ships in this area and perfect for what he as going to be doing. So he quietly sneaked into the back area of Drake's hideout and went up to the ship of curse he was well prepared. He knew the scrutiny systems Drake had on his ship and so IG-666 had prepared him to deactivate them. It wasn't long before he had gained access to the Dragon Claw and was sitting behind its controls. This was just to easy and soon he started up the ship and was taking off with a very angry Drake yelling at him over the com.

Ghost just shut it off and headed out into the Dune Sea where he soon came to the meeting point he had set up with IG-666. The Magnaguard was standing there waiting for him and so he quickly landed and let him on then headed towards their hideout which was secretly hidden. Theirs was in a cave where they had stored all their weapons over the years and so now they began to load them onto the ship and get off this dust ball. Once all was done Ghost along with IG-666 headed for orbit and once there blasted off into hyperspace.*

*Filled with a rage like no other before Drake had hurried to his swoop with weapons and all and quickly took off in the direction he had seen his ships go in. H was thinking that once he caught whoever had stolen it was going to do a thousand horrible things to him just to make him regret ever taking is ship. Following the ship's path was easy enough but what he eventually found was a cave but yet no ship in sight. Drake got off his swoop with pistol out and walked into the cave but yet he found nothing except some left behind communication devices. There was one other thing and that was a datapad left near the back of the cave on a table. Drake walked over to it and when he saw the message that was left on it his blood began to boil. It was that damn mercenary Ghost who had stolen his ship and he should of known it was him.

Drake quickly ran out of the cave and he began to head back to his home where he would be planning the down fall of this guy but first he needed a new ship. Oh it was going to be hard to find something to replace his old one but there were plenty of places to look and if he had to he could always just take one. There were plenty of people around Tatooine who owed him a lot and so he could start going through them to get a ship. Though at the moment he was mostly thinking about how he was going to make Ghost suffer for what he did.*

*Back at Drake's home he was up in his communications part of his house having a yelling competition with one of his contacts. He had wasted no time in trying to find a new ship but he was demanding something that compared to the Dragon Claw but yet just no one had something like that. That was the problem when you put a lot of money into customizing a ship you just never find another like it. That didn't stop him in trying to find one but so far he was only getting scrap pieces of metal like ships.

For hours Drake went on arguing with everyone he talked to trying to find a ship but all he was offered were old smuggling ships or transports. Finally with the last one he started to talk to he threatened to hunt the man down and make him eat his own guts. This of course the man knew Drake was all to serious about this and so he finally gave something up. A YT-1930 that had recently gone through some upgrades but still could use some work. It was faster than the original model and had stronger shields this contact was planning on using it to smuggle high value merchandise across the galaxy. At First Drake just grumbled to himself but eventually he said he would take it though the condition was that he come and get it.*

*his contact worked out of a remote area so as to not get caught even by the Hutts when he really wanted to hide. Drake was one of few people who knew where to find him and this time Drake was happy to know where this guy was. At the moment Drake was looking over the YT-1930 that the man had talked about and so far it was a nice ship just still was nowhere as close to being a match for his ship. Though there was one thing Drake knew about the YT series and that they were highly customizable and so he would put a lot of work into this ship.

Standing by as he looked at the ship was a small group of Jawas this group was Drake's mysterious contact. He had done some good business with them before and even had a deal working with them. He solved their problems they sold him top quality tech and so far they have never failed to do so. This on the other hand they were planning on hiding from him so that they could hire a smuggler to bring them stuff from offworld but now they would have to hire someone to actually had a ship.

Drake left the little buggers standing there in a panic for some time as he looked over the ship. He was doing a lot of head shaking and sighing just to get them worked up but truthfully he pretty much liked the ship and had full intent on taking it. So after some time when he finally got them to start whispering to each other he decided that he would tell them he would take it. Just from their body language Drake could see they were relived that hew wasn't going to make them eat their own guts. So with a satisfied look on his face Drake climbed aboard his new ship and had the Jawas load his swoop onto it. Finally with one last look at the pathetic group of Jawas Drake just laughed to himself and took off towards his base.*

*Drake had finally gotten his new ship back to his home and the first thing he did was began to look at all the changes he was going to make to it. He had begun looking through all the systems on the ship and was making a list of things to do which meant he would be seeing his Jawa friends again very soon. So far he had plans on installing more weapons though nothing compared to what the Dragon Claw had. He assumed he could at least get two torpedo launchers on this thing. The guns would have to be upgraded to something better and he just might even consider adding a few more to it.*

*Again Drake was sitting up in the top level of his home which was the communications room and he was bouncing a small ball off the wall as he spoke to his Jawa friends. He was giving the the whole list of things he would need to make the customizations to his ship and he was actually depending on them to find it all. Luckily for him he knew he could count on them because that just meant more business for them as they might have to trade for the parts and make deals with people. They always liked doing business with him because it just brought them more and again they technically owed it to him because he kept on bailing them out of trouble. Soon enough he the conversation ended and he just sat there waiting for the day they came with his parts.*

*Several days later his Jawa friends came by in their sandcrawler and they had brought gifts for him to play around with. They had found most of the things he was looking for and he decided to not ask how because some things were just better that way. He even helped them get it all into his backyard and by help he mostly just pointed where he wanted everything. It was all a fair amount of stuff to add to the junk he already had back there but this was needed stuff and so it was acceptable.

Then once it was all back there and poor tired Jawas were heading back to their sandcrawler Drake stopped them with a smile on his face. The poor Jawas they never liked it when he had a smile on his face at least when they were around. It always meant e probably forgot to mention something or he needed them to do something extra for him. Though they owed him a lot for he had saved their asses many times and so they stayed to listen to what he had to say.*

So by any chance do you have droids for sale actually working droids?

*This was a shocker to them he actually wanted to do real business with them and so they scrambled around even forgetting how tired they were getting out the droids they had. After about 10 minutes they had a nice line of droids out front of their sandcrawler and they were ready to do business with him. Drake looked around at the droids and thought to himself he needed help with his ship and some of the stuff could get pretty heavy and so he needed a good reliable droid. Then he found the perfect one a good old looking DUM droid. Drake pointed to that one and the Jawas got right on to removing the restraining bolt and everything. He payed the Jawas for the droid but the rest of the stuff was a gift and for once they actually left his place happy.*

* It was getting late into the day and Drake had gotten to work on his new ship as fast as he could but this was going to take some time to finish. He was glad the Jawas had already gone through the process of upgrading the engines and shields but now it was his turn to give it a weapons upgrade. The first thing he went to do was take out the escape pods or at least move them to somewhere else. At the moment he as working on only one of the and it was a pain and took a long time to do but he got one of them out and was working on wiring up a new weapons emplacement. He had liked his deadly idea for the Dragon Claw and so he was going to do the same on this ship. He was installing MS-1 fire-linked heavy laser cannons them modifying them for space. This would give the ship a huge boost to its weapons capacity though he didn't plan on doing much with the top and bottom turrets.

For now he had gotten the laser cannon onto the ship and the DUM droid was outside making sure it was attached. Drake was inside wiring the thing up to the ship controls and so on and he was the only one he trusted for this since who knew how well the DUM droid worked. All he knew so far is that it was really good at picking things up and carrying them around. later he would check the droid's work on attaching the gun to the side of the ship. So far this seemed as if it was going to take all day and so it was going to be a very very long day.*

*So far Drake had spent several days working on his ship only accomplishing so much in one day. So far he had spent three days on just trying to get the first laser cannon installed as he started to have many problems with that but eventually it got done. It took him half the time to get the second one installed now that he knew what he was doing and actually got it right this time. Though he began to find many things he didn't know were on this ship and it was apparent the Jawas had done more customizations on it then he had thought. Either way it worked for him as that was one less thing he had to do.

Now he was working on installing the torpedo launchers on the front of the ship and this he had decide to do alone. The DUM droid that he had now named DUM Bot was working on installing another weapon one that wouldn't be used to often but he thought it would be useful. It was a AX-108 Ground Buzzer Blaster Cannon for use when he really needed to get out of somewhere and needed the fire power. So far Drake was making customizations to this thing that mostly relied on aggressive tactics probably because he was still out right pissed about his ship being stolen but would need it to get the Dragon Claw back.*

*Finally he had all the weapons installed into the ship and now he just had to get onto the some of the more advanced systems for his ship. First off he would be going up against a ship that had a mass amount of torpedo launchers and so he would need something to counter that. This was how he came to the conclusion that a Nordoxicon-38 Anti-Concussion Field Generator would come in handy. The damn thing made small projectiles explode or misfire before it got to the ship making it an effective thing to have. He was also going to instal a static discharge port in case anyone wanted to try and plant a tracking device or anything else on his ship.

Again he had the DUM droid doing other things around the ship while Drake was putting some of the finishing touches on it. The droid was proving to be a good investment and valuable when fixing things since it seemed to be very knowledgeable in these kind of things. That was why Drake actually trust it to install another system for him since he had gotten the blaster right. The droid was putting in the sensor mask and jammers which that would be the last of the customizations he was going to make to this ship. After that all he would have to do is name it and he thought he had a rather good name for this ship mostly because of what he had turned it into.*

*It has been weeks since Ghost had taken off with Drake's ship and in that time Drake had bought a new ship and made some serious modifications to it. After he had gotten that all done he had gone out in search for anyone who might have known Ghost. He had searched high and low for people he had even talked to other Jawas but they had only done business with him and not much else. He had even been to most cities on Tatooine and had hunted down as many smugglers and thieves as he could just to ask them questions and still nothing.

As time went on he was only getting more and more frustrated and Raven was clearly able to tell what was happening. Though her being a A.I. really made her not able to care much about how he felt about his ship. So Raven wasn't much help through all this and Drake still wanted to go and hunt the man down. By now Drake had started to do other things to keep his mind busy and that ended up being making more modifications to his new ship.

These new modifications ended up being some new torpedo launchers back near the cargo bays. Drake figured he had the space to spare and so he added two new ones to each side. Though what he was planning on having in these torpedo launchers was a little idea he had picked up in his search for Ghost. You see Drake knew that Ghost relied on cloaking to hide himself and so he was adding some tracking torpedo launchers. These would lock onto a metal object and would follow it making them effective against such an opponent. Other than that they would be hard to evade since they would follow most targets.

At the moment that was what Ghost was doing as DUM Bot was off looking around in Drake's scrap piles around the place. The droid really seemed to like to put things together and so he was constantly looking around at the junk Drake had sitting around. So far the droid had even fixed somethings back into working condition which was a good thing for Drake. He was sure that he would get along just nicely with that little droid and they might make good partners in the future.*

Jason's ship enters the system. Not a moment to soon, he thought he was going to go crazy on Nar Shadda, the filth.... It just wasn't the same filth as here on his home planet Tatooine.

After floating in orbit for a bit the ship takes off towards the surface. He was hoping to be greeted with a drink in a pub until his next job, but soon he would find this was not the case.

*Drake quickly landed his ship outside of the place he had once called home and his hideout but now he was going to be leaving it behind for who knew how long. Outside of it was standing Raven in her usual stealth suit but with the supplies he had wanted. Once the landing ramp was down Drake ran down it to help Raven load everything onto the ship. They did everything as fast as they could because Drake wanted to off as soon as possible so he could try to stop Ghost before he caused anymore damage with his ship.

Soon they were ready for take and Drake was fully equipped with all his weapons and other many things that he thought was important. He had brought along his powersuit, weapons, Raven’s weapons, Raven’s hacking and slicing equipment and his droid DUM Bot. It really wasn’t very much but it was enough for now and who knew they would probably get more along the way. So now with Drake in the pilot’s seat and Raven in the co-pilot’s Drake quickly started up the engines and took off for orbit. When he reach high above the planet he flew fast far from it before activating the hyperdrive and blasting off towards Hapes and what he hoped would lead him to Ghost.*
